Monday, finally, Veronica made it over for a visit too meet her new Great Granddaughter Skylar Ann Newton. She got to feed her, and cuddle with her for two hours, leaving with pride and love for everyone of this new Family. Now the cat they have down there Luna, she does not want people around the baby, she would hiss at us, Veronica tried to be friendly with her and she did not want to be friends. Destiny the mother of Skylar is sort of afraid of Luna not really knowing if she will attack, as there is two ways into the parlor and Destiny was on her way in and Luna met her at the door, SO Destiny turned and went for the other door and Luna met her there, I think David might have handled the situation from that point. They have a pug dog and he is a great watch dog.

Tuesday early morning there was a lunar eclipse, Veronica and Penny were texting back and forth, Veronica had a good view and Penny did not see anything going on. It was also Town Meeting Day, I rode up with Sue Peters and stayed a couple of hours, with Penny going back to work, she came to pick me up at eleven, so we could go and do our shopping in Enosburg. 3/4..Sue Peters became the driver of us ladies to go to the Bowling Alley, there were the usual five of us. The Turkeys were all present to play today and we were joined by another group the Hot Balls, I kept score for the 6 of us, I have to be Thankful for someone behind me reminding me of how many pins were knocked down, as a few pins have one hidden right back of it and I cannot see that one. It’s all in fun and I enjoy going and have met nice friendly folks.

Thursday, This was the second Senior Dinner prepared by Chef Joey Buttendorf, my first, she started with a veggie salad, small warm biscuits, Corned beef and cabbage dinner with Chocolate cake for dessert, also an assortment of chocolates.

In the afternoon, Lois Babbitt had made arrangements with Connie McFarland, Me and while at the dinner, Esther Varela, needed a few items and she joined in with us. We had a wonderful time the four of us. Lois likes to get out while the roads are dry and no snow storms in the area, and Lois Lumbra had a day of not wearing the ice grippers on her boots, Yaaaa!!

Friday morning when we had the News on, Marissa Vigevani from WPTZ Channel 5 was here in Montgomery with a few of the School Children givingthe daily weather report for the day and weekend. Marissa goes around Vermont and Northern N.Y. Area to interest Children in doing the weather report. Each child is asked to read the report as written on the screen she has in her car. The Children that were asked to read, did a very good job. It was interesting and fun. A good beginning to a new day. It was suppose to be nice with sunshine, and it was. Saturday with rain coming in and warmer temperature..and it is. Just hope it doesn’t freeze up and be icy..YUCK!!

3/8..A Spring like Sunday morning, no snow to shovel, no new ice to fall on..almost a perfect day. Our Church Service was prepared and officiated by John Gorton.. His sermon was entitled “Living Water.” I wanted to comment on the water, as for years there is running water on Hill West that people from all over the state are aware of and come and fill jugs, for their drinking water. We still go and get this water for drinking as there is too much chlorine in our Montgomery water or what ever that taste is..I do not like it. We have had sunshine off and on, and presently it’s off. I think I will go out after I complete this News and help get some of the ice off the side walk, most of the snow pile is about melted off the side walk just leaving some ice that was under the snow bank.

NOTE::: Someone is leaving boxes of non perishable foods at the United Methodist Church, WE NO longer have a food pantry there, luckily today I was called that there was a box on the Church steps, I went down and sure enough there was a box that a Food Pantry could use, I called Tosca and she said she would stop by and pick it up. AS there have been two boxes that went unnoticed and things froze and not useable, it was a waste and was put in a dumpster. Please if anyone knows who this generous person is..trying to help, let them know the Food Pantry is at the Center and open on Tuesday afternoons. Thank You!!!
