RICHFORD, Vt. — Richford’s January schedule mixes civic business, faith community routines and local-history organizing, reflecting the way small towns often keep momentum through winter with meetings that double as community touchpoints.
Town government remains a steady anchor: the Richford Select Board meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 5 p.m. at the Town Office, according to the town’s posted meeting information. The town notes that residents can request a virtual attendance link in advance and that meetings are live-streamed through Northwest Access TV, expanding access for those who cannot attend in person.
Faith-based activities are also on the calendar. All Saints Catholic Church in Richford posts a January schedule that includes weekly Mass listings and a “Regular Meeting of the Knights of Columbus” on Sunday, Jan. 11, providing another recurring gathering point for residents.
On the community-history side, a notice shared to a Richford Historical Society Facebook group indicated the organization planned a meeting Thursday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m., suggesting early-year organizing around preservation projects, programming and fundraising.
Taken together, the listings show the practical backbone of winter life in Richford: town business, church life and volunteer groups keeping local institutions moving while the weather limits the bigger outdoor festival calendar.
