Montgomery seeks mowing bids for town properties

MONTGOMERY, Vt. — The Town of Montgomery is seeking proposals from contractors for mowing and groundskeeping services on town properties from 2026 through 2028.

The town posted the request for proposals April 13 and said the goal is to consolidate regular scheduled maintenance under one contract. Contractors were asked to submit final pricing and, if they have not previously worked for the town, at least three professional references.

The work covers town-owned properties and is intended to create a predictable maintenance plan for the next three seasons. Proposals were due by 5 p.m. April 20 and could be submitted by email or in person to the town office at 86 Mountain Road.

The town said it reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Questions were directed to the Montgomery Town Clerk’s Office. The bid notice comes as municipalities prepare for summer maintenance and public-space upkeep.
