Monday morning we had an early snow squall, it covered everything a clean Snow White. But melted before I went to bed, woke up Tuesday morning at 20 degrees, Brrrrrr! I had uncovered my hosta’s that were coming up through the icy leaves, I had lots and lots of leaves, I had two of the biggest leaf bags packed full and 4 loads in my wheelbarrow. Penny said Mom maybe you did them to early as the cold might kill the tender leaves that are coming up, well they were coming up in the frozen ground and ice. Time will tell!!! My favorite plants as they stay nice and green all summer long, I do not let them flower, so I cut the buds off as I see them. They come up yearly and a wonderful plant to enjoy. I might have a few pansies this year, as they are so pretty, around the stump that is rotting away, nice dirt there also.

4/20..I got a call from Carolyn Wheelock Audette that her brother Steven Domina had passed away and the funeral was scheduled for Friday the 24th. I then had a call from Goss Funeral Service and he told me the same. I made arrangements with Carolyn to go up to the Cemetery and finalize her Brothers Burial lot next to their Mother Beverly Doe Wheelock Domina. That was completed Friday as scheduled. Tim Murphy accompanied me Tuesday.

Wednesday 4/22..Elsie Saborowski picked me up when she was returning from picking up her mail, and she waited for Carol Farmer to ride with us to the Bowling Alley. Today we arrived at the Bowling Alley early to enjoy a Pot Luck Meal before Bowling. We soon ate some delicious casserole dishes, BBQ meat balls, Swedish meatballs chips, dips, and desserts. The Bowlers were full and raring to go by 1 p.m. The Bailey Team were next to the Turkeys, I kept score for all players today. The Baileys had a couple of their grandchildren come along with them as Schools were out this week. Brea, I would say she was about 6 years old started to Hi-five the players after they played, her grandmother was very proud, that was very visible. Rick Roy, and Elsie made quite a few strikes and this little girl giving Hi-fives was very pleasing to them. Their grandson Barrett had a camera and was taking pictures of their strikes. It was a fun time for the children, to be with us.

It was a great afternoon and in the absence of Sue Peters she had a sub play for her..she was a very good player. Before leaving for home the owner at the Alley had a bundle of envelopes to give out to the Players for their good playing, and were awarded as such. This was new to me..but the winners were very pleased with their awards. Many of our Montgomery Players received awards. Congratulations Everyone!!!

Thursday..this was a day planned by my Niece Pamela Harris from South Carolina, she was up this way on business and wanted to meet with other Family members at the Lucky Buffet in St. Albans. It all worked out great for us to meet, there were 16 of us that made it. Penny had invited Destiny to bring Skylar as everyone was anxious to meet the new comer of the Family. She was so good and Aunt Veronica took over loving her for a while. We were there just over two hours and then we had to part our separate ways, It was truly a wonderful time. We all had delicious food we all enjoy what we like the best at a Chinese Buffet.

Friday morning it was cool out but the wind was not as cold, I worked on picking up leaves that were packed down around the plants, I have taken 6 wheel barrows full to empty.and there are still more to pick up..anyhow it looks nice where they are now gone. Isn’t it the same every Spring, we work to clean up outside, plant a garden to care for, mow lawns, paint outside, whatever needs doing, and then it’s Fall, we harvest the vegetables, rake leaves, but we do leave leaves around the plants to help protect them from the cold, next Spring it begins again. The Farmers have haying, corn to get in, they depend on good weather to dry the hay. Our years fly by and we are kept busy.

Sunday 4/26..Our Church Service was planned and Officiated by John Gorton. He entitled is service “The Voice”. Our organist Patrick Evans was feeling much better and was back with us We received word the passing of Charlie Purrier..4/22/26, we extend our Sincere Sympathy to his Family and may he Rest Peacefully with our Lord and Savior. This is a true story, and I might have told it about my cat..I call him Boy , he and my little dog Willee were the best of friends here in the neighborhood. Willee passed away in 2020, he was 16 yrs and 5 months old. The neighbors cat came here every day all summer long, he liked staying out nights, was used to it, if he was in the house at night time he wanted to be outside, so I let him out. Late in the Fall the nights started to get much cooler, and he was asleep in the big chair in the living room, Sonny and I went to bed, in the morning he was asleep on our bed, never made a sound to wake us up. That was the beginning of him becoming my cat, tried to take him back but he insisted on coming home with me. Yes, he was a great hunter as well, I wanted to name him Hunter but Boy-was much better and he comes to me, when he hears me call to him, if down the street from us, he will answer me, I dearly Love him, He is my Boy..when I’M out working he is never far from me. If I sit down to rest..I have a chair beside me for him and he rests also. Oh, He was know to everyone here in the neighborhood, as curly tail, he went with the Walker kids to visit Maggie Elkins, and now he is friends with Viktor Elkins, and has gone in often to eat his food. But mainly he is my Boy. Hope you enjoyed my story. Have a nice week folks.. LOVE TO ALL.

**Letting a cat out of a bag is much easier than trying to put it in the bag. **. Cats as a general rule to not like a cat carrier either. Got a good cat story, share with Lois..I like stories and my readers do also.
