FRANKLIN, Vt. — Vermont State Police arrested a Franklin man earlier this week after responding to a report of a threatening incident at a residence.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks said they were called to a home on Gallup Road to investigate a report involving threatening behavior. During the investigation, officers identified Keenan Richard, 23, of Franklin.
Police determined Richard had an active warrant for driving with a criminally suspended license.
Richard was taken into custody and transported to the Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans, where he was lodged on $100 bail, according to police.
Authorities said Richard was scheduled to be arraigned in Franklin County Superior Court, Criminal Division, following his arrest.
State police did not release additional details about the initial complaint that led troopers to the residence.
The investigation is ongoing. Police remind the public that criminal charges are allegations and that defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
