ENOSBURG FALLS, Vt. — Organizers and local officials in Enosburg are beginning preparations for another Dairy Festival season as Franklin County communities move toward summer tourism and agricultural events.
Regional event calendars continue listing the Enosburg Dairy Festival among Franklin County’s major recurring summer celebrations. The festival traditionally includes parades, rides, food vendors, local agriculture showcases and community entertainment centered around Franklin County’s long dairy farming history.
Franklin County remains one of Vermont’s strongest agricultural regions, and dairy continues to play a major role in the local economy despite industry pressures affecting farmers statewide. Community festivals tied to agriculture have remained an important economic and social driver for small towns throughout the county.
The event also serves as an important fundraising and visibility opportunity for civic groups, youth organizations, local businesses and nonprofits. Organizers typically begin planning months in advance to coordinate volunteers, entertainment schedules, vendors and public safety logistics.
The Dairy Festival has historically drawn visitors from across northern Vermont and neighboring Quebec, contributing seasonal business activity to Enosburg-area restaurants, retailers and lodging operators.
