PLAINFIELD, Vt. — Vermont State Police arrested a Marshfield woman early Jan. 25 on suspicion of driving under the influence after receiving a report of erratic driving on U.S. Route 2.
A Vermont Fish and Wildlife warden initially stopped the vehicle after observing it weaving within its lane. The warden detected signs of impairment and requested assistance from state police.
Troopers identified the driver as Holly Nutter, 41, of Marshfield. She was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
Police said Nutter was later released with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Feb. 12.
State police continue to remind motorists that impaired driving remains a leading cause of serious crashes, particularly during winter months when road conditions are often hazardous.
Anyone who observes dangerous driving behavior is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
