ALBURGH — Vermont State Police arrested a Franklin County man following a reported domestic assault earlier this month, according to authorities.

Troopers responded to a residence on Lake Street after receiving a report of a family disturbance. Upon arrival, officers conducted an on-scene investigation and determined that an assault had taken place.

The suspect, identified as Corey Lefebvre, 48, was taken into custody without incident. Police did not report any serious injuries associated with the incident but confirmed that the case involved a household member.

Lefebvre was transported to a correctional facility for processing and is expected to face a charge of domestic assault in Franklin County Superior Court.

Authorities have not released further details about the victim or the events leading up to the arrest, citing privacy protections associated with domestic violence cases.

Vermont State Police continue to encourage victims of domestic violence to seek assistance and report incidents promptly.
